The Re/Imagination Lab was founded in 2019 by Tom Subak, the architect of Planned Parenthood’s acclaimed digital transformation, to bring bold, tech-enabled solutions to the social sector. At the Re/Imagination Lab, we conduct analysis and experiments and use those insights to develop creative tech interventions to improve access to reproductive health care for care seekers everywhere. We collaborate frequently with leading national and global partners. EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Shantha Susman joined Re/Imagination Lab as its inaugural executive director in September 2025. Over a two decade career, Shantha has worked to advance social justice, often with an emphasis on technological tools to make the work more impactful and efficient, such as trainings on using the Voter Activation Network or innovative ways to register to vote. For the past ten years Shantha has led communications strategy and campaign development for dozens of groups in the reproductive health, rights, and justice movements, including UNICEF, Guttmacher Institute, ACOG, Center for Reproductive Rights, Advocates for Youth, Abortion Care Network, Abortion On Our Own Terms, and Ibis Reproductive Health. She brings experience in reproductive health care access and a track record of strategic insight and innovation to increase the impact of the Lab at this pivotal moment.
